In 1752, 11 days disappeared from million of people. As in month of September there are 30 days but in 1752, 11 days disappeared from the month of September, people slept on the 2nd September, but woke up next day on the 14th of September, 11 days was disappeared from lives of many people.
Then where those 11 days had go??? Is those people were sleeping for 11 days???
Till 1752, Roman Julius Calendar was used for dates and months which was used in Britain and countries of Europe. At present, the Calendar which we are using at home and in our mobile phones is Gregorian Calendar which was launched by Gregorian in 1582 at it was the best calendar at that time and today also.
But in 1752 the king of Britain ordered that to shift the Julius calendar to Gregorian calendar but it creates a problem to shift Julius calendar to the Gregorian calendar that it makes a difference of 11 days as in this calendar total days in the year was 365 days.
Then the king of Britain thought that to disappear those 11 days from calendar which causes that in the month after the 2nd of September directly 14 of September comes instead of 3rd September.It also gives benefit to government employees as they work 11 days less but they get their full salary which was created for 30 days.
But this calendar also creates many problem like according to Julius Calendar, New Year was celebrated on 1st April but with the new Gregorian calendar New Year was celebrated on 1st of January. People was working according to the Gregorian calendar but they never leaves to celebrate new year of 1st April.
After that king ordered that who will celebrate new year on 1st April he will be known as fool. But later it was solved with help of some expert.
