When More than 220 Million of Sparrows were Killed in China!!!: Four Pests Campaign

We all know that if we tamper with nature then we will have to suffer the consequences but.....

Do You Know

In 1958, there was leader of China whose name was Mao Zedong who who ran a campaign named, Four Pests Campaign and in this campaign people have to kill flies, mosquitoes, sparrows and rats and this is done by all the people of China. This campaign was introduced to spread hygiene and aimed to eradicate pests. And people started to kill all the four pests and they mostly kills sparrow and it also become fun for then as they enjoy their shots by killing sparrow. People kill sparrows with slingshot and guns. And this will get viral in China and many people also started playing aluminium utensils because sparrows fare from high frequency sound so that they always get on top and when they came down after getting tired so people kill them. And this campaign ran for one year in which around 220 Million sparrows were killed.

But the people of China played with nature so they had to pay for it. As they had killed many pests in these campaign and they also had killed sparrows which results disturbance in Nature cycle or food chain. We all know that all the living organisms work as nature cycle or food chain and if this cycle breaks then t affect many things of our nature. As people of China had killed sparrows to save their crop but this breaks food chain as sparrows didn't eat only crops but they also eat small insects which affect crops and it results as these insects get increased in China and their crops got bad. And after this, crops will not grow in China for many years because there were no sparrow left to eat insects and save crops and those insects ate their all crops. As people of China had killed 220 Million sparrows which results that more than 45 Million people died because of starvation and many diseases had also spread over China.
