This day tells us how technology advancement is done in India. As India grow its technology base in last 20 years very rapidly. This day is also consider as tribute to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam who was President of India (2002-2007) and give his service in Indian space agency also.
The actual reason for which 11 May is chosen for Technology Day was that on 11 May Indian tested successfully SHAKTI-I, SHAKTI-II and SHAKTI-III Nuclear missile at Indian Army's Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan in 1998 which was India's first Nuclear missile test also.
Actually five nuclear tests was conducted on 11 May but when three nuclear bomb was exploded it creates and earthquake have frequency of 5.3 Richter scale. All the missiles were designed by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. After that India become 6th country in the world that has joined the nation Nuclear Club.
