Armenia and Azerbaijan are the two countries which are situated between Russia, Turkey and Iran on the world map and there are many conflicts which are running between these two countries nowadays. Many experts also said that these conflicts will accelerate and turn into a war.
Armenia is a small country with 3 Million of population and about 95% of people who live there are Christians and this is a secular country and on the other side Azerbaijan is also not a big country but the it have population of 10 Million and this is a Muslim majority country as 99% of population of Azerbaijan are Muslims but this is also a secular country, people are independent to practice any religion. There is a disputed region between these two countries which is Nagorno- Karabakh and because of this disputed region conflict form between these two countries. Nagorno- Karabakh is not a big region as there only about 150K people live there but it is hard to occupy this area because it is a mountain region and both the countries are trying to occupy this. Due to the conflicts many people had also died as both countries always attack on each other for this land. Apart from todays this conflicts rises in 2016.
This is the same condition like India and Pakistan as both of countries fight for Kashmir and this is the hot topic for both the countries and none of them neglect their impact on this area. Same thing is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan and many soldiers are also injured in ceasefire violation by both the countries.
In 2020 same conflict is running between the countries and both the countries said that they have never started the conflict as Armenia says that Azerbaijan had attack firstly and Azerbaijan said that Armenia had attack firstly. Here Russia also plays a big role in all this as there were close relations between Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. There is a Military base of Russia in Armenia and Azerbaijan is one of the most significant buyer of Weapons from Russia as Russia sells there weapons to Azerbaijan and because of this Armenian people are not happy as they thought that Russia is trying to make pressure of them with Azerbaijan. Historically whenever the conflicts form between these two countries then Russia came first to stop the conflict but now Russia didn't take any action for the recent conflict and also this time a new player has also come in this which is Turkey and Turkey had openly said that Azerbaijan is the long term ally of the Turkey and Armenia is wrong and if Azerbaijan needs any help in this conflict then Turkey will openly help Azerbaijan even with military support and the reason for this may be the religion because both the countries Azerbaijan and Turkey are Muslims majority country but the more valid reason for this is geopolitics as Turkey and Azerbaijan are also neighbouring countries and Turkey is big country than Azerbaijan and for sure Turkey will try to make their influence on their neighbouring countries. Turkey is also a main importer of the oil and gas export from Azerbaijan and when oil and gas come then any country will try to become ally of Azerbaijan. On the other side the relations between Armenia and Turkey are historically bad.
