In 1963, a man knocked down a wall of his basement and behind it he discovered that there is a mysterious room, and later he found that there was a tunnel system which was spread under a city to 250 feet deep and have cave like rooms.
It was Derinkuyu Underground City. A city which is in the earth and no one knows about it.
It is one of the largest underground city located in Turkey's Cappadocia region which can house upto 20,000 people at a time. This city was much mysterious and it is said that this city was formed between 7th-8th century. No one knows that how this city was formed because today there are two cities at a time one underground and one over it.
May be this city was formed for escaping during the wars or for making a new designed city!!! If we think about how this city was formed then it was need almost an army of a country to making this, as this need a highly designed equipment for making it and possibility f having those equipment at that time is almost equal to no. It is same like Pyramids of Egypt as no one knows how those pyramids were formed has heavy square rocks were used in making of those pyramids and same in this. The well designed tunnels and well designed rooms for more that 20,000 people are very tough to create in underground even in today's generation.
Today government of turkey has claimed this tunnel and had lighted up this tunnel with some of restrictions.
